Easthaven, it seems, has changed a bit since you were there last. Almost the entire town is frozen solid, and cyclops, rather than townspeople, walk the streets. Here you fulfill your destiny as savior of the Dale, or die a glorious death in the effort. There are four points of interest in this area.

Areas of Interest
- Basement of the Winter's Cradle Tavern Through the outside door (2923, 424), enter the basement of what was once the Winter's Cradle Tavern, and you'll find Old Jed (553, 460). He'll tell you about a stockade where Everard and the townspeople are being held captive. This area can be especially useful if you need to rest, as here you can do so without fear of attack. It's possible that Jed may not be here if you convinced him of the evils of alcohol during your first stay in Easthaven. Regardless, it's still a useful place to rest.
- Everard and Townspeople Walk across the bridge where you found Damien, the little boy who lost his catch during your first visit to Easthaven. You will find a stockade wherein Everard (2058, 2143) and the townspeople are being held captive. Kill the cyclops guarding them, then speak to Everard for 280,000 XP. He'll show you the sign that enables entry into the Crystal Tower, which is located where the Temple of Tempus once stood. If you speak to him again, you'll have the option of asking for healing. If you told one of the people at the beginning of the game that you would search for treasure and return, speak to one of them now--it doesn't seem to matter which one--and tell them they're free and should flee Easthaven. You will receive three Elixirs of Health, one Potion of Regeneration, and a Potion of Storm Giant Strength.
- Jhonen If you walk to the extreme southwest corner of the map, you will encounter Jhonen (326, 2535). If you completed the quest in the prologue involving Elisia and Jhonen by returning his ancestor's blade to him, he'll give you the Restored Blade of Aihonen (2-9 damage, +5 damage and THACO within a dragon's flight distance of Lac Dinneshere (otherwise +1), +5 maximum hit points within a dragon's flight distance of Lac Dinneshere; +25% cold and fire resistance). You will get 280,000 XP for receiving the blade.
- Entrance to the Crystal Tower The entrance is located where the Temple of Tempus once stood. After you have spoken with Everard in the stockade, you will be able to enter. Once you are finished with the outside area and are ready to get on with the final battles, enter the tower.
