Brother Poquelin's Cave

Go up the stairway just north of where you found the idol in the broken temple to find the Reverend Brother Poquelin, or at least the being who has assumed his form.
Monsters: Black Bear, Boneguard Skeleton, Brother Poquelin, Earth Elemental, Frost Salamander, Minotaur, Red Myconid, Wolf.
Areas of Interest
- Brother Poquelin Once inside, walk forward a few steps from the entrance and you'll see him (780, 877). He'll engage you in a forced dialogue in which he'll discuss such varied topics as Yxonemai and Crenshinibon, the crystal shard he used to freeze the passes, and control of the animals of Icewind Dale. When he's finished ranting about what a fool you are and how he is supreme commander of the civilized world, the fight is on. He'll summon everything from frost salamanders and elementals to red myconids, but don't worry about them. Concentrate your attacks on him, as once you inflict enough damage, he'll Dimension Door out of the area and the fight will be over. The game will take you to a cutscene, and will then transport you back to Easthaven, where the final showdown takes place. If you have trouble defeating him, try using Haste. We made him flee with both missile and melee attacks, so whatever method you choose should work.
