Severed Hand, Level Two
(AR5002)
On level two you will do battle with shadowed worgs, orcs, orc shamans, and goblins. Be on the prowl for items as we found a Jester's Bag of Holding on a goblin warrior, which can spawn a random item in your inventory each day. Like level one, you will be unable to access the eastern side of the map at this point. There are two trigger areas on this level, one at the northern edge of the map and one in the western area of the map, both of which spawn a lot of monsters. So if you are not rested and ready to fight, prepare yourself before venturing into the map.
Monsters: Armored Skeleton, Shadowed Goblin Marksman, Shadowed Goblin Marshal, Shadowed Goblin Trainer, Shadowed Goblin Warrior, Shadowed Orc Marksman, Shadowed Orc Shaman, Shadowed Worg, Shattered Soul.
Areas of Interest
- Exit There are two sets of stairs leading back down to level one in the northern (1063, 535) and southern (1676, 2068) areas of the map.
- Exit There are also two sets of stairs going up, one in the main column in the center (1409, 1313) of the map, and one in the northwest (491, 894) section of the map. You will need to go up both sets of stairs, as each set allows access to different parts of the level three map. The stairs in the northeast section allow access to the northern part of level three; the stairs in the column allow access to the southern half of level three. There is nothing to do on this level except to the clear the map, gather treasure, and proceed to level three.
- Treasure Trove (918, 1749) with Emotion: Courage scroll, Healing Potion, and Potion of Genius.
- Treasure On the body of a Shadowed Goblin Trainer (521, 1441) is Jester's Bag of Holding.
- Treasure Trove (1530, 396) with Sanctified Morning Star +3 (5-11 damage, +3 THACO, two additional first level priest spells).
- Treasure Trove (1831, 413) with Animate Dead scroll, Potion of Agility, and Potion of Stone Form.
- Door to Level One Eastern Half This door allows you to access the eastern half of level one. You can only get to this door (1875, 1255) by using the elevator on Level 3. See Level 3 for details.
