Dark Alliance | Help | Walkthrough | Mount Burning Eye Summit
Mount Burning Eye Summit

The summit is the crossroads of Mount Burning Eye. From here, you can get to the west and east summits and to the peak of the mountain. Your overall goal in this area, besides killing everything and looting, is to head north to Kolgrim's cave. Stop off at the treasure cave along the way to pick up some potions and gold. Once you have spoken to Kolgrim, proceed to the west summit.

Monsters: Gnoll, Gnoll Captain, Ogre, Wolf

  1. Starting Point: This is where you start the summit and is the way back to the base of the mountain. Head north to Kolgrim's cave killing all in your path.

  2. Save Pedestals: These are the save pedestals. Use them often and with multiple slots in case of disaster.

  3. Treasure Cave: This small cave is full of unguarded treasure. Not a bad pit stop for free loot.

  4. Kolgrim's Cave: In this small cave you find Kolgrim, the leader of the dwarven camp Torrgeir told you of. When you ask him about the key to the mines, he informs you that he does not have it. The dwarf that has the key is frozen solid by a dragon at the peak and only lighting the signal fire will release the key. He tells you to find two other members of his ill-fated party to retrieve the items necessary to light the signal fire. Right before he dies, he gives you the oil flask. Grab the flask, loot the cave and then head back south and go to the west summit.

  5. Entrance to the West Summit: This leads to the west summit, the next stop on your quest.

  6. Entrance to the East Summit: This leads to the east summit. You will go here after you complete the west summit.

  7. Peak: This leads to the peak of Mount Burning Eye. You will go here to light the signal fire after you retrieve the items from Kolgrim, the west summit and the east summit.
