Crypts of Ilmater Level 2
The one and only goal for level two of the Crypts is to kill the Orb of the Undead. It is a straight shot north, so if you do not want to explore the entire area you do not have to. The undead here spawn from the floor, so move slowly to avoid having too many of them attacking you at once. Kill everything, loot the place and return to the Tavern when finished.
Monsters: Armored Skeleton, Skeleton, Zombie, Orb of the Undead
- Starting Point: This is where you start and has stairs back up to level one of the Crypts. You are immediately attacked by skeletons and zombies, kill them and head north. Explore all the east and west passageways if you want the experience and treasure. Remember, the Undead spawn from the floor as you move around. Go slowly and fight them one or two at a time.
- Save Pedestals: These are the save pedestals. Use them often and with multiple slots in case of disaster.
- Orb of the Undead: This is what is causing all the undead to rise from their graves, the Orb of the Undead. This is a tough fight because the Orb floats up out of your reach and spawns undead like crazy. When you kill the spawn, the Orb will drop back down and give an opportunity to attack and then repeat the same floating up and spawn. Once you kill the Orb, Fayed comes in excited that you have won the day. He rewards you with an Amulet of Protection +2 and 750 experience points and ask you to meet him back at the tavern. You also learn the fate of Osala's husband, for he was the unlucky thief to put the Orb in the Crypts and is now dead. Walk out of the room and use a Recall Potion back to the Tavern. Talk to Osala and tell her about her husband's fate. She will reward you with a Ring of Protection +1 and 750 experience points. Two new NPCs are in the tavern now. Talk to Keaira and accept the quest to find her lost spice box. Talk to Jherek and accept his offer of joining the Harpers and his quest to investigate the Thieves' Guild. Either by taking the sewer entrance on the small outside map or by the long path through the cellars, return to the end of the Sewers Level One. You will now have access to the secret door to the Thieves' Guild.
