Thieves' Guild Level 3

This level is tough. It is full of eyeball traps that kill you with one hit. Luckily there are many save pedestals to take advantage of. There are a lot of levers on this level that you must hit to free the way into other rooms. When trying to hit the levers, the eyeball traps fire at you constantly. Hopefully the fireball traps from level two made you skilled in the art of dodging. Do not bother trying to kill the eyeball traps either, because you cannot. It is a straight shot north to the entrance of the final level of the Thieves' Guild and Act 1. Dodge your way up there and get ready to behold a beholder.

  1. Starting Point: This is where you start and has the stairway back to level two of the Thieves' Guild. Save your game with the Save Pedestal to the right and get ready for some more dodge ball. Eyeball that is.


  2. Save Pedestals: These are the save pedestals. Use them often and with multiple slots in case of disaster.


  3. Generic Levers: Hit these levers to clear the way into other rooms. Remember the eyeball traps fire at you constantly. Do your best and you will eventually get through each room. Just remember to save your game after each room so you do not have to repeat any if you die.


  4. Eyeball Lever One: Run as fast as you can to this lever while dodging the eyeball traps. When you push it, it will make one of the eyeball traps to the northeast disappear revealing the lever that actually frees the way to the next room.


  5. Eyeball Lever Two: This starts out as an eyeball trap. After you hit the lever to the southwest, it disappears and reveals a lever that frees the way into the next room. Continue on north saving your game often.


  6. Lever Room: As you enter this room, save the game at the pedestal immediately. There are nine levers you must pull to open the way to the next room. In the center of them all is an eyeball trap that can fire at you in a full 360 degrees. This one is tough, but by now you are a dodge ball master. Once all the levers are pulled, the trap disappears and you are free to continue north.


  7. Entrance to Level Four: As you make your way to the entrance to level four you must fight a few bugbear elite. After what you just went through, they are a piece of cake. There is also a save pedestal in this room so make sure you use it. You are about to go to the final battle of Act 1 and face the beholder. This would be an excellent time to use a Recall Potion back to the Tavern to buy and sell what you need. The beholder is tough and this is the last opportunity for you to shop before facing him. Once that is over, Recall back and enter level four.
