Scripts

Scripts control the behaviour of your characters when the Artificial Intelligence (AI) is turned on. The game ships with numerous scripts (see picture) that can be assigned to the character by selecting them from a list accessible on the character sheet. The default is "None". You can also create your own scripts using a text editor or some of the third party editors designed to simplify the process. How to write scripts is described in the AICompile document present on CD1. Once the script is written, it must be compiled so that Baldur's Gate II can use it. An editor just for Baldur's Gate II scripts was also released by Brent Knowles of Bioware.
