Polearms
A spear is simply a stick with a sharpened end, or in the more advanced models, a steel or iron spearhead. The halberd has a cleaver-like axe blade atop a six foot staff. The axe blade is balanced at the rear with a fluke, and surmounted by a sharp spike. Thus, a halberd combines features of both a spear and an axe. Both weapons do piercing damage and require two hands to wield. Fighters, Paladins, Rangers and Bards can use halberds and spears, while Druids can use only spears.
