Bows
Bows are bent, supple shafts with a string connected to both ends that is pulled tight. For a composite bow, the bow is made from more than one type of material giving it more flexibility. Bows vary in length from five feet for a short bow to greater than six feet for a long bow. With increasing size and flexibility comes greater range. Wielded with two hands, a bow can launch various types of arrows at a rate of two per combat round. Any type of bow can be used by Fighters, Rangers and Paladins. Bards can use long or short bows while Thieves can only use short bows.
