Rogue Special Abilities

  • Rogues receive more skill points per level than any other class. They can use these skill points to buy class skills like disable device to remove traps, hide, pick pockets, and use magic device.
  • Sneak Attack: To use sneak attack the rogue must attack an enemies back with an equipped melee weapon. Your first successful attack will do normal damage plus an additional 1-6 points of damage with an additional 1-6 points at third level and every two levels thereafter.
  • Evasion: At second level the rogue gains the ability to evade damage from area affect spells. Whenever a rogue makes a successful reflex save against an area affect spell that allows reflex save for half damage, the rogue will take no damage.
  • Uncanny Dodge: Rogues retain their dexterity bonus to armor class if they are attacked by invisible foes. This special bonus is granted when the Rogue reaches third level. At sixth level the uncanny dodge ability is upgraded so that the rogue cannot be sneak attacked by another rogue unless the attacker is at least four levels higher than the target rogue.
  • Special Rogue Abilities: At tenth level the rogue gains access to a number of new feats only available to rogues. These include crippling strike, improved evasion, and slippery mind.
