Coordinates are provided where appropriate in X, Y format eg. (1024, 345). To find out where your cursor is on the screen, the default key is "X". Gold and jewelry are omitted in treasure descriptions unless they are quest-related. Keep in mind that treasure is largely randomized, so although we will mention treasure found, what your party finds will likely vary, depending on the location and circumstances. Some items will always be the same, but items found after battle will usually differ from game to game. As with Heart of Winter, Trials has the new keyboard command to help you find things. Press and hold down the ALT key and items, doors and containers will now be highlighted.

Trials of the Luremaster is a free expansion for Heart of Winter and requires that both Icewind Dale and Heart of Winter be installed on your system. That's right, it's free. All you have to do is download it and then double-click to install. It is recommended that your party be between levels 13 and 18 (higher levels if in Heart of Fury mode ) before you begin Trials of the Luremaster. Also, you must start Trials before you go to the Sea of Moving Ice in Heart of Winter. Once you are at the Sea of Moving Ice, you can not return to Lonelywood. We played on insane difficulty mode with level thirty characters. Some monsters listed may not be in the game you play.

Your quest begins in Lonelywood (AR 9100) at the Whistling Gallows Inn (AR 9101) in the Heart of Winter part of the games. There you will find a halfling named Hobart Stubbletoes (833, 428). Talk to him and agree that you are a hero's hero and that you will go with him. He immediately casts "Teleport Without Error" and you are whisked away to the remote desert location of Anauroch. This is how your quest begins...
