Aleyr's mother was a drow from Ched Nassad who was captured during one of their surface raids. Four overconfident humans, who were part of the group that defended from the drow raid, decided to have their own way with their "treasure". After a series of rapes and tortures from the humans they stuck a dagger in her back. She feigned her death and the humans threw her "corpse" into the river. A bit downstream Aleyr's mother wrenched the dagger from her back and made her way back to the four humans. All four died. She went back to her homeland of Ched Nassad and discovered her pregnancy. She lived alone in the Underdark not telling any one about it. When the baby was born she left it under some rocks and returned to her old ife in Ched Nassad. The baby was Aleyr. Some Snirvneblin (i think thats the spelling) found the baby and raised it fearfully hoping to gain the favor of the drow who was its parent. No one came. They got rid of it by selling it too a powerful wizard named Solokan. Solokan was an evil man who did countless painful experiments on her and other creatures who came by his lair in the Spine of the World. Eventually some do-gooder adventuring band killed him and she escaped fearing her heritage would invoke the adventurers' wrath too. She made her way to Luskan by scaling the walls. There she lived in the streets of Luskan where she met the only "surfacer" she "could stand to be with". His name was Eldiscion. Together they worked for in Lukan's undeground, and did quite well, until they were set up by one of the more prominent guilds. A hired a battle-mage was hired to kill them. Eldiscion was killed, and Aleyr only survived by scaring the battle-mage away by acting as though she was still within the Drow hierarchy and saying he would bring the anger of a house she made up on the spot. After her friend's death she went into a downward spiral. Wandering the Sword Coast alone really with not much more reason to go on. |
